The Children’s Healing Center is open for free play & special programs hosted by generous community members and businesses. Whether you are looking for a place where your child can meet up with friends at a weekly class, or where you can pop in for a few hours of family fun, we have something for your whole family- come and play with us!

Monday, June 11th | Art & Nature Camp – Sun Painting
Sun printing & Clay Impressions: Cyanotypes are photographs sometimes known as sun light prints. We will learn about different types of photography, and explore how to make photographs without a camera!
Tuesday, June 12th | Art & Nature Camp – Nature Sculptures
Nature Walk and Outdoor Sculpture: Campers will take a walk through Aquinas campus and explore the different types of plants and trees, while learning about sculpture artist, Andy Goldsworthy. Then we will make our own nature sculpture at the CHC garden!
Tuesday, June 12th | Parent Time and Pottery
Children choose from a kitty, dog or dragon to paint. Parents enjoy conversation. Everyone comes hungry for dinner.
Thursday, June 14th | Art & Nature Camp – Flower Hammering
Flower Hammering and Botanical Watercolor: There are many ways to use art in nature. Today we will paint with the pigment of flowers and the impressions of leaves!
Friday, June 15th | Art & Nature Camp – Carved Fish Painting
Fish Painting and Printing: Campers will explore types of fish from our Great Lakes, and learn about how a local artist carves and paints Michigan native fish!
Monday, June 18th | Story Time – Pirates & Princesses
Join Miss Amy with a story time session about pirates and princesses.
Tuesday, June 19th | AYA – Murder Mystery Night
Thursday, June 21st | On the Move – Games
Join Miss Taylor and Miss Deb as they guide the children in dance, movement and fitness games with a focus on getting the children moving.
Thursday, June 21st | Book Club – 9 years old and up

We will be exploring one of the best book: Wonder. Following book club there will be time to play in your favorite areas. If your child is attending camp on Thursdays before book club, they are welcome to bring a sack lunch and stay at the Center until book club begins.
Thursday, June 21st | Mom & Daughter Spa Night
Mom’s and their daughters (ages 5+) are invited to come to the Center for a night of bonding activities! The evening will include hair, make up and nails – all done by professionals from Urban You Beauty Bar. The night will also include a fun take-home craft and lots of snacks! Space is limited, so RSVP soon.
Monday, June 25th | Animal Planet Camp – Blandford Nature Center
Blandford Nature Center – Hear from a local wildlife expert working to rehabilitate wild animals in our community! They will bring in animals to engage with and learn about including an owl, a wood turtle, and a possum.
Tuesday, June 26th | Animal Planet Camp – Farm Animals
Farm Animals – Join us for a barnyard adventure meeting and learning about the cutest kids around (baby goats) that will leap, bound and play! Campers will also get a visit from Miss Janna’s horses!

Dive deep as we explore and learn about different sharks. We will also be creating super sharp crafts with with shark teeth. Campers will also create their own ocean scene

John Ball Zoo – Come hear from a zookeeper! Our guest will bring in animals for a hands-on learning experience including amphibians, birds and mammals!
